Apart from card games, several other games gradually came about like the very popular roulette. The roots of roulette can be traced back to China and France. Initially, the game failed to attract people; it was only after the Prince of Monaco introduced it in the gambling halls of Monaco, that slowly more and more people began to take it up.
In America also gambling has been a popular past time for a long time. However, it was only after the setting up of casinos in Las Vegas, that it came into the lime light and began to attract the attention of the rich and famous. In the modern times, the popularity of gambling is evident from the increasing number of casinos – both online and land based. With the advancement of technology, the gambling experience is now very different from what it used to be but it is still very entertaining.
